Wesley Pope
Wesley joined Eastside in 2016 and is a Partner and the firm’s Chief Financial Officer. He manages Eastside’s financial reporting, investor relations and tax compliance. During his time with Eastside, he has gained significant experience in venture capital investing and M&A. He is active across Eastside’s investment activity, participating in investment due diligence, tax planning and transaction execution.
Wesley also actively engages with portfolio companies to assist with general accounting needs, management reporting best practices, and sell-side preparedness and execution. He previously served as interim CFO at Curiteva, a Fund III portfolio company. Wesley is currently a board observer at AllCloud, TextUs, and Liine.
Prior to joining Eastside, Wesley worked as an auditor for PricewaterhouseCoopers in the McLean, Virginia and Munich, Germany offices. While at PwC, he primarily served clients with quarterly and annual SEC reporting requirements under US GAAP and IFRS. He also gained experience with the financial reporting requirements for initial public offerings as well as business reorganizations.
Wesley graduated with honors from the University of Alabama with a bachelor of science in accounting. He also earned his master of science in accounting from the University of Alabama. Wesley is an active CPA in the state of Alabama.
